Mikveh
The Schara Tzedeck Mikveh is located at the rear of the synagogue building. Entry is off the lane, at the northeast corner of the shul.

Women
To book an appointment, please call the attendant listed on the appointment calendar directly. As a courtesy please try to give our volunteer attendants at least 24 hours’ notice when calling. As always, women are welcome to request a different attendant from the one listed. If you have any questions please call Sarah Berger at 604-288-2571.
Men
The Mikveh is available for men to use on Friday mornings between 10:00 am-2:00 pm.
Please contact the office for an appointment.
Please note that there are no exceptions made to our closing time, in order to allow our staff to prepare the mikveh for evening use.

for the immersion of vessels.

Eruv
The Eruv is checked every Friday to ensure that it is kosher for Shabbat.
If you notice any construction or disruptions in areas near or around the Eruv border, thank you for reporting them to the synagogue office.

Yahrzeit Guide
This brief guide summarizes the Jewish Traditions surrounding the Yahrzeit, the annual commemoration of the death of your loved one.
Please note that the Yahrzeit begins at sundown the evening before the listed date and concludes at sundown on the listed date.

Minyan
Daily Minyan and
Shabbat services have resumed indoors.
Yahrtzeit Candle
The Yahrzeit candle should be lit at sundown, at the beginning of the Yahrzeit. It will burn throughout the following day.
Study of Torah
It is customary to learn Torah on the Yazrzeit day in memory of your loved one, if you want to have a class dedicated in a family member’s memory or to sponsor a class or program please contact the office at 604-736-7607.
Charity
It is customary to give to Tzedakah (charity) in memory of a loved one.
